DUBLIN, Calif. (AP) _ Callidus Software Inc. (CALD) on Thursday reported a loss of $3.8 million in its third quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Dublin, California-based company said it had a loss of 6 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and amortization costs, came to 9 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 8 cents per share.
The business software maker posted revenue of $64.2 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $62.3 million.
For the current quarter ending in December, Callidus said it expects revenue in the range of $65 million to $66 million.
The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $248.6 million to $249.6 million.
Callidus shares have risen 52 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $25.50, a rise of 56 percent in the last 12 months.
