Huawei sub-brand Honor today announced that it will launch the Honor 7X smartphone in India on December 5 th. The launch event will be livestreamed on Facebook at 20:00 IST. As confirmed earlier this month by the company, Honor 7X will be sold exclusively by Amazon in India. The Honor 7X, as the name clearly suggests, is the successor to the Honor 6X that was launched in India in January this year. It was officially announced last month at an event in China.
While the Honor 6X is currently available for Rs.11,999 on Amazon India, we don’t expect the Honor 7X to be nearly as affordable. Since the Honor 7X features an impressive 18:9 aspect ratio display and a few other upgrades under the hood, it will no doubt carry a premium. However, Honor has confirmed that the smartphone will be priced very competitively in India, so there is a good chance that it may not be priced much higher than the 6X. If Honor does get the price right, there is a good chance that the smartphone might end up selling like hot cakes in India. In fact, the Honor 7X has already received a fantastic response from consumers in India. More than 2 lakh people registered for the smartphone within 24 hours of the pre-release registration being opened to the public. The smartphone will go on sale in India on the 7 th of December at 12:00 PM IST. In terms of color options, the 7X will be available in Black, Blue, and Gold colors.
