Sony launches WH-1000XM2, four other wireless noise cancelling headphones in India: News, News

The Sony WH-1000XM2 wireless headset comes with features like Atmospheric Pressure Optimizing, Ambient Sound Control and Sense Engine.
Sony India on Friday launched four new wireless headphones to expand its portfolio in the Indian market. The WH-1000XM2, WH-H900N, WF-1000X and WI-1000X have been priced at Rs 29,990, Rs 18,990, Rs 14,990 and Rs 21,990, respectively and highlight a premium design, refined sound and some notable features like noise cancellation and atmospheric pressure optimising, among others.
The Sony WH-1000XM2 wireless headset is the most premium model of the lot and is an enhanced version of the MDR-1000X noise cancelling wireless headphones. The difference is with some added features like Atmospheric Pressure Optimizing, Ambient Sound Control, Sense Engine, among others, all of which are meant to enhance noise cancelling even further.
All of the models launched on Friday come with noise cancellation and support for Headphones Connect app that uses the phone’s accelerometer to detect the user’s activity and adjust the sound according, among other things. The WH-1000XM2, WF-1000X and WI-1000X include a technology called Sense Engine, which is an ‘Adaptive Sound Control’ feature that offers noise cancelling and ambient sounds that vary depending on your environment. In addition to this, the WH-1000XM2 and WI-1000X also get ‘Atmospheric Pressure Optimising’ that optimising noise cancellation be detecting the air pressure via sensors.

The WH-1000XM2 and WH-H900N lastly also get a Quick Attention Mode that allows you to cover the top of the right earpiece to quickly lower the volume if you need to talk to someone while on-the-go. These headphones also bear touch sensors that will allow users to skip songs, contol volume and more by simply tapping or swiping on the on the right earcup.
The WH-1000XM2 and WH-H900N will be available across all Sony Centers starting December 14, while the WF-1000X and WI-1000X will go on sale from today. The premium WH-1000XM2 promises around 30-35 hours of battery life, while the WF-1000X and WI-1000X in-ear headphones will provide around 10 hours and 3 hours of wireless music playback, respectively. All of the headphones come in a Black colour option, though the WH-1000XM2 gets an additional Gold colour option as well.
