The Artist of War.
The return of Grand Admiral Thrawn is coming a lot sooner than expected. You can look forward to The Artist of War event later this month. Unfortunately, those of you who missed out on his capital ship, the Chimaera, you’re out of luck as his capital ship will not be returning this time.
The Thrawn event will return November 23 and run through November 29, giving players about a month to ready their forces in time for the fight. The Artist of War event requires Phoenix Squad members so you’ll have to get them leveled up in a hurry if you’re planning on getting this tactical genius.
The Phoenix Squad members are as follows:
Any combination of those will work for the event but the easiest ones to get will be Ezra, Kanan, Zeb, Hera and Chopper. Sabine is currently locked behind Hard Battle shards so she’ll certainly be the hardest to get for this event. One thing’s for certain and that’s that Sabine will certainly increase the damage output of your Phoenix Squad.
This event is arguably the most frustrating event the game has introduced so far. Not only is the event really hard, but you also have to fight through waves of enemies just to reach the final part of the event. You probably won’t finish the final leg of the event on your first try so get ready for a lot of auto-battling and cutscene watching as you hope for the odds to tip in your favor.
In terms of fighting Thrawn, it’s imperative to had some good speed mods on your characters in you want to have a chance with this fight. The Death Troopers should be your first priority as they will be the main damage dealers of the group and really it all comes down to luck and whether your characters will counter every attack or not. Speed mods certainly help, though.
Zeb is crucial to this fight because he has the ability to lay down some timely stuns on the Grand Admiral. By using Hera and Ezra to call assists to Zeb on Thrawn, you can keep him from dealing out Fracture and inflicting insane damage on your party. It’s important to use either Kanan or Chopper to taunt and then casting Hera’s Backup Plan on them so when Thrawn inevitably kicks them into oblivion, they’ll just come right back.
