Troopers arrest Orlando man in Turnpike shooting that injured 2

An Orlando man was arrested Sunday for the shooting and attempted murder of a father and daughter while driving down Florida’s Turnpike, according to an arrest report.
An Orlando man was arrested Sunday for the attempted murder of two people while driving Saturday morning down Florida’s Turnpike, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Kwanza Jermaine Donald, 33, was driving a gray Toyota Camry southbound on the turnpike near State Road 50 when troopers said he shot and hit a 37-year-old man and 17-year-old girl from Miami .
Both were taken the Orlando Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
“We don’t have statements from the witnesses,” said FHP Sgt. Kim Montes. “We started to talk to them at the hospital yesterday, and they were both too upset to talk.”
Donald contacted law enforcement earlier Sunday, and a weapon was found inside his vehicle, Montes said.
Troopers reviewed turnpike surveillance cameras and “identified Mr. Donald’s vehicle as being in the area” during the time of the shooting.
Donald is being held at the Lake County Jail.
CenturyLink customers say they have been systematically overbilled, and they want Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate.
