It is that time of the year when companies reveal their year end data. Google has already revealed its top apps on Google Play and best videos on YouTube Rewind 2017. But the list is not over yet. The search giant has this time revealed list of trending Google Searches both globally and country-wise.

But the list is not over yet. The search giant has this time revealed list of trending Google Searches both globally and country-wise. The data is categorised under different topics such as Overall, Near me, How To, What is and more.
According to Google’s ‘Year in Search 2017’ data, the most trending search for the year 2017 in India was:

-Indian Premier League
-Live Cricket Score
-Dangal
-Half Girlfriend
-Badrinath ki Dulhaniya
-Munna Michael
-Jagga Jasoos
-Champions Trophy
-Raees
As for the ‘How To’ section, Indians searched How to..

In the ‘What is’ section, the top search trends were:

-What is ransomware
On the global level, top five searches included Hurricane Irma, iPhone 8, iPhone X, Matt Lauer and Meghan Markle. Top five in the ‘How to’ section had people asking how to make slime, make solar eclipse glass, buy bitcoin, watch Mayweather vs McGregor and make a fidget spinner.
In 2017, users around the globe searched for Apple iPhone 8, iPhone X, Nintendo Switch, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Xbox One X in the ‘Consumer Tech’ version. The latter half of the list includes Nokia 3310, Razer Phone, Oppo F5, OnePlus 5 and Nokia 6.
