Two pro wrestlers got into a family feud — that ended in an impromptu grudge match.
World Wrestling Entertainment cruiserweight champion Richard Swann, 26, was arrested late Saturday after he got into a fight with his pro-wrestler wife in the middle of a Florida street — because she was critiquing his moves.
Swann had just finished a show in Gainesville when wife Vanarrah Riggs — ring name “Su Yung” — began picking apart his performance as they were driving home to Orlando around 10:30 p.m.
Swann flew into a rage and Riggs leaped out of the moving car because she feared he would get physical, according to a police report.
But Swann dove from the car too, and one witness reported seeing the driverless vehicle careen into a telephone pole after both wrestlers were ejected from it, according to the police report.
Another witness said they saw Swann put the woman in a headlock and drag her back into the car, but Riggs told cops he only grabbed her by the arm, and Swann claimed he never laid a finger on her, the report states.
Swann was arrested about an hour later, two miles from the scene, the report notes.
He is being charged with domestic battery and false imprisonment, records show.
Swann and Riggs have been in a relationship for about five years and married roughly nine months, according to the arrest report.
The WWE suspended Swann indefinitely following his arrest.
“WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, and per our policy, Rich Swann has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest,” the league tweeted Sunday.
