Smithfield, N. C. — One person was found shot to death Monday afternoon in southeastern Johnston County, authorities said.
Authorities said Carlos Mejia Escamilla, 18, of 151 River Oaks Drive in Selma, was found in dead in an overgrown yard outside a mobile home at 120 Neuse Bend Road just before 1 p.m.
Tony Lee Hines, 19, of 120 Neuse Bend Road, was charged with murder in connection with the death.
No additional details were immediately available.
