Amazon shoppers also bought a lot of PlayStation Store credit
Super Mario Odyssey was the best-selling video game of 2017 on Amazon, according to the online retailer. Nintendo also had the second and third best-selling video games on Amazon, with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for Switch rounding out the top three.
PlayStation Store credit was the number one (and two) top seller on Amazon, however. Amazon lists the $20 PlayStation Store gift card, which can be used to purchase PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita games as the number one video game item customers bought in 2017.
Here’s a look at Amazon’s ten best-selling video games in 2017, which includes seven Nintendo-published titles.
In terms of hardware, the Nintendo Switch was Amazon’s best-selling video game console — Switch consoles with gray Joy-Cons outsold those with neon Joy-Cons. The retailer’s best-selling accessory was the PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 controller.
