The upcoming ASUS ZenFone 5 Lite smartphone’s alleged press renders and a live image has been leaked on the interwebs.
“The ZenFone 5 Lite is expected to flaunt four cameras, an all-screen 18:9 display and a glass back panel”
Last month, Taiwanese major ASUS announced that it will be attending the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona, and holding an event on February 27th. While the brand didn’t reveal what it plans to unveil at the event, reports suggest that the company could unleash its ZenFone 5 series smartphones. The upcoming ZenFone 5 series devices are expected to include the ZenFone 5, ZenFone 5 Lite and ZenFone 5 Max. Ahead of the unveiling, the ZenFone 5 Lite was spotted on a certification agency’s website. Now, the phone’s alleged press renders and a live image has surfaced on the interwebs.
Talking about the press renders first, popular tipster Evan Blass has tweeted out a couple of photos of the ZenFone 5 Lite smartphone. The tipster suggests that the phone will come with two 20-megapixel cameras on the front to entice selfie lovers. At the rear, the device is likely to flaunt a pair of 16-megapixel shooters. The source also points towards the presence of a full HD+ display on the handset. Overall, the Zenfone 5 Lite is expected to be a mid-range camera-centric offering.
As for the design, the leaked renders indicate that the ASUS ZenFone 5 Lite will flaunt an all-screen front with an 18:9 display. It could have a glass back with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, sitting below the primary dual camera setup. The photos also suggest the presence of a USB Type-C port at the bottom, flanked by two speakers.
Coming to the live image, posted by Marcel Campos on Instagram, the photo confirms the dual camera setup, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and the same glass back which we saw on the press renders.
Not many details about the ASUS ZenFone 5 Lite are available at the moment. However, if the rumour mill is to be believed, the phone will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 6-inch display and Android Oreo out of the box.
