Detailed specifications and pricing info for Sony’s upcoming Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact smartphones were leaked online as well, barely days before Sony’s MWC 2018 press conference. Speaking of MWC 2018, a new report out of Korea today claimed the Samsung Galaxy S9+ will be available in a 256GB variant as well. As promised, Honor today began rolling out an OTA update for the Honor 9 Lite smartphone in India, enabling the Face Unlock feature. While some of you may see the update on your Honor 9 Lite very soon, the rest of might have to wait longer. Honor has said that it expects all Honor 9 Lite users to receive the update by the 5 th of next month. Once you install the update on your device, you will notice the Face Unlock feature in the Settings Menu. All you need to do is set up the face unlock and you can then start using the feature to unlock the phone almost instantly.
A new report out of China has claimed Apple will introduce the second-generation iPhone SE model at WWDC 2018. Confirming previous reports, the latest report claims the iPhone SE 2 will look very similar to the original iPhone SE and not the latest iPhone X. However, the display size will reportedly see a slight increase to 4.2-inches. The bezels around the display may be slightly thinner as well, although not entirely “bezel-less”. In terms of hardware, the iPhone SE 2 is tipped to be powered by an Apple A10 Fusion chipset, paired with 2GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the iPhone SE 2 is said to be available in 32GB and 128GB capacities.
Ahead of MWC 2018, a report from Swedroid.se has shed more light on Sony’s upcoming Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact smartphones. The Xperia XZ2 is said to feature a 5.8-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The Xperia XZ2 Compact, on the other hand, is going to feature a 5-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 2160 Full HD+ resolution. All ‘Compact’ Xperia models released so far have a 720p HD display, so the Xperia XZ2 Compact will be a significant upgrade over all of them when it comes to the display. In terms of hardware, the XZ2 Compact will be identical to the Xperia XZ2 with a Snapdragon 845 SoC and 4GB of RAM. In terms of pricing, the Xperia XZ2 is said to be priced at SEK 7990 (Rs.64,000 approx.) in Sweden, while the Xperia XZ2 Compact will cost 5990 SEK (Rs.48,000 approx.). Both smartphones will reportedly go on sale starting March 6 th.
A report published today by Korean publication The Investor claims the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones will go on sale globally starting March 16 th. While the standard Galaxy S9 will be available with only 64GB of internal storage, the Galaxy S9+ will apparently be offered in a 256GB version as well. However, we expect the 256GB Galaxy S9+ to only be available in a select few markets such as South Korea. In all other markets, the Galaxy S9+ too will ship with just 64GB of onboard storage. When it comes to RAM, the Galaxy S9 will include 4GB of RAM while the bigger Galaxy S9+ will include 6GB of RAM.
Bharti Airtel today revised its Rs.98 prepaid recharge pack to offer more data to subscribers in select circles. Airtel subscribers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circles now enjoy 5GB of 4G/3G data for a period of 28 days with the Rs.98 pack. However, do note that this pack does not include any other benefits such as free voice calls or free SMS.
