The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 10 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 4 cents per share.
The customer-service software maker posted revenue of $123.4 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $119.7 million.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $110.6 million, or $1.11 per share. Revenue was reported as $430.5 million.
For the current quarter ending in April, Zendesk said it expects revenue in the range of $125 million to $127 million.
The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $555 million to $565 million.
Zendesk shares have increased 13 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $38.23, an increase of 55 percent in the last 12 months.
