Hot-shooting Wolverines blow out Texas A&M in Sweet 16, stand one win from Final Four.
Michigan’s basketball team gritted out a win over Montana in the NCAA Tournament opener and needed Jordan Poole’s desperation heave to survive Houston in the second round.
In the Sweet 16 Thursday night, the Wolverines left no doubt in their 99-72 thrashing of Texas A&M.
Now, they’re one win from the Final Four.
No. 3 seed Michigan (31-7) takes on No. 9 seed Florida State (23-11) in the West Regional final at 8:49 p.m. (ET) Saturday at Staples Center in Los Angeles. It will be televised by TBS.
FSU eliminated top-seeded Xavier, 75-70, in the second round before the Seminoles stifled fourth-seeded Gonzaga Thursday night, 75-60.
