The subject was found deceased after police obtained a search warrant.
Police officers were at the scene of a suicidal subject for more than four hours Saturday night in Port Huron.
Officers responded to a call of suicidal subject in the 2600 block of Vanness Street about 8:30 p.m.
Upon arriving to the home, officers saw the subject holding a gun, said Port Huron police Lt. Brian Kerrigan.
Upon hearing a shot, negotiators were brought to the scene. The negotiators attempted to speak the subject inside but were unable to make contact, Kerrigan said.
The police received a search warrant and entered the home to find the subject deceased. First responders cleared the scene around 1 a.m., Kerrigan said.
