The Falcons added more skilled guys to their offense.
The Atlanta Falcons finished up the draft on Saturday by adding a running back, wide receiver and linebacker.
The final day, which is composed of rounds 4-7, featured general manager Thomas Dimitroff’s first trade of the draft.
Here’s what the Falcons did on the final day of the Draft.
Round 4: Ito Smith, RB Southern Miss
The Falcons picked Smith No. 26 in the fourth round. Smith is small at 5-foot-9,195 pounds. He has a good ability to bulldoze defenders and slip tackles. Smith forced 50 missed tackles during his career at Southern Miss, according to Pro Football Focus. The Falcons drafted Brian Hill in the fifth round last year, but he was waived in October. So the Falcons decided to take another back a bit higher this year with Tevin Coleman’s free agency upcoming next offseason and questions surrounding Devonta Freeman’s health after multiple concussions and a knee injury.
Round 5: No pick
Round 6: Russell Gage, WR LSU
The Falcons traded two picks, including their Mr. Irrelevant pick, with the Los Angeles Rams to move up to No. 20 in the sixth round. They drafted wide receiver Russell Gage. It’s the second receiver the Falcons drafted, but they are likely more interested in Gage’s special team’s capabilities. He’s speedy, running a 4.42 40-yard dash at LSU’s Pro Day, and he has quite the vertical. He’s known for hurdling over would-be tacklers. He only had 26 receptions and three receiving touchdowns in his career. But scouts believe he has a high ceiling. He also played some defensive back. In his senior season, he had 11 total tackles and one fumble recovery.

Round 6: Foyesade Oluokun, LB Yale
The Falcons went back to defense on their final pick of the draft. They selected Foyesade Oluokun, a linebacker who also plays some defensive back. If he makes the team, he’ll add some depth at inside linebacker behind Deion Jones and Duke Riley. He could be a guy that plays some defensive back from time-to-time in certain packages. He had 13.5 tackles for loss and 271 tackles in his career at Yale. He’s a good project for Quinn to keep around and develop if he needs to be called upon.
