«Are the Americans getting freed?»
On Tuesday, President Donald Trump made the announcement that he is pulling the U. S. out of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
«This was a horrible, one-sided deal that should have never, ever been made,” Trump said at the White House. “It didn’t bring calm, it didn’t bring peace, and it never will.”
On top of the announcement, Trump explained that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was on his way to North Korea in preparation for Trump’s highly anticipated meeting with Kim Jong Un.
Just after signing the presidential memorandum, reporters began yelling questions at the president. “Mr. President, how does this make America safer? How does this make America safer?” one reporter asked.
Trump answered, “Thank you very much, this will make America much safer.”
Then she asked, “Is Secretary Pompeo bringing the detainees home?” He explained that Pompeo was about to land in North Korea and meetings are set up, with the location and time already chosen.
Before Trump could get out of the door, several reporters asked, “Are the Americans getting freed?”
