There’s just not enough time in the day is there? Because of that, we’ve all got a backlog. Some people will have backlogs as long as their arm, others will have backlogs so long that we can’t even see it anymore. But this Steam Spring Cleaning Event is encouraging you to do something about it, ASAP.
There’s just not enough time in the day is there? Because of that, we’ve all got a backlog, whether we want to admit it or not. Some people will have backlogs as long as their arm, whilst others will have backlogs so long that we can’t even see it off in the distance anymore. But this Steam Spring Cleaning Event is encouraging you to do something about it, ASAP.
Steam is that one place where, even if your PC isn’t the main thing you use to game, you have a ridiculous amount of games to go through. Whether you got them because they were free at the time ( Crusader Kings 2, we’re looking at you), or because you were peer pressured into playing a game your friend promised they would play with you only to forget about it months later, it doesn’t matter. Your backlog is terrible.
Thankfully the Steam Spring Cleaning event has a way to get us to finally be rid of all those old games we’ve not got round to playing yet. They’ve done this by stating that users will receive a special badge in exchange for dusting off their unplayed games. But that’s not all, not only will you unlock a special badge, you’ll also have the opportunity to level it up.
This seems like a very clever trick by Valve to lure us into playing these games by earning a reward. It’s almost as if Valve suspects that we’ll fall for it by luring us with shiny, new things that’ll make us feel better. They are completely right, by the way, but either way, we’re onto you Valve. We’re onto you.
There will also be several games that will be playable for free through the event. However, there is one problem, should you try them and buy them and then let them sit, twiddling their metaphorical thumbs in your library, you may find yourself right back where you started.
The games listed below will be available until the event ends on the 28th of May. Be sure to test them out and then, if you enjoyed them, tell us more about it in the comments below.
