Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has confirmed that there will be a launch event at the end of May where the company will release a range of products. Xiaomi also has confirmed that it will launch a wide variety of products at the upcoming Shenzhen event too. That said, Xiaomi has not revealed exactly which products will be launched during its events.
Some earlier reports on the internet hinted that Xiaomi would be bringing the next flagship to the event which is Xiaomi Mi 7. A Mi 8th anniversary edition smartphone also surfaced from the Xiaomi’s community forum in China and the Chinese Mi Store which suggested that the company might launch Mi 8 as well.
Now, there are fresh reports that Xiaomi may launch the Xiaomi Mi max 3 in the event, given that its predecessor launched in May last year. However, the Xiaomi’s CEO has confirmed on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo that the launch of Mi Max 3 will be in July this year.
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is expected to come with a 6.99 inches Full HD+ display and a massive 5000 mAh battery. There will be Quick Charging 3.0 fast charging support in the smartphone. It is also speculated that the smartphone will come with Qi wireless charging and Iris scanner for security.
The smartphone will be coming in two variants; a base model with Snapdragon 636,3GB RAM and 64GB ROM. A higher model will feature the Snapdragon 660 processor, 4GB RAM, and 128GB storage.
On the other hand, Xiaomi will launch the rumored Mi 8 which will also be Xiaomi’s 8th-anniversary smartphone. It might be coming with a 3D structured light face detection and in screen fingerprint sensor. This smartphone could be the first smartphone to go with the 3D structures light face detection tech.
