The World Cup 2018 is here and these are the top football apps you can download to make the most of the tournament. All the best World Cup apps are here.
If, like me, you’re not fortunate (or brave) enough to be in Russia, we imagine you’ll be planning to spend much of the next four weeks with your eyes glued to the nearest big screen. However, for those moments when you just can’t get to one fast enough, your mobile’s there to keep you plugged into the action.
Here are the best World Cup 2018 apps to keep you up to date with all the (football-related) action in Russia.
Coverage of the World Cup is being split between the BBC and ITV, and you can live stream all 33 of the games that the BBC will be showing through the trusty old iPlayer app.
See above. You may be less familiar with ITV Hub but, like iPlayer, it’s also free and will also be live streaming all of ITV’s World Cup games.
Here’s where things get interesting. The Russia World Cup’s got its own Fantasy Football game, which kicks off at the same time as the opening game. If you haven’t entered a team yet, get a move on!
The official FIFA app (otherwise known as 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Official App), is there to notify you about pretty much everything that happens in the tournament. As well as updates on your favourite team, news, scores and stats, you’ll be able to use it to cast Man of the Match votes, watch highlights and learn more about the tournament and 2018 venues.
Slightly more familiar is the BBC Sport app, which offers much of the same, just packaged in a much more familiar user interface. The BBC’s gone deep with its World Cup coverage this year too, so you’ll find all sorts of weird and wonderful features on the Sport app, perfect for wasting time on.

That’s right, the legendary sticker album has taken a (possibly ill-judged) leap into the digital world, providing a whole new way to fail at completing your sticker book.
Get those on your mobile device of choice and you won’t miss a goal – or anything else for that matter. Enjoy the World Cup, everyone!
