Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is said to launch on August 9. Alongside it, Samsung is expected to introduce a new wireless charger at the event.
After having tasted decent success with the Galaxy S9/S9+, Samsung is all set to launch its Note 9 flagship smartphone later this year. In a recent report, a popular Samsung tipster has spoiled beans regarding the Korean electronic maker’s plan to launch its annual flagship phablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 at an event in New York on August 9.
Samsung was initially supposed to launch the Galaxy Note 9 on August 2. However, initial reports make us believe that the Korean giant would correspond to the launch date of the device with the name of the smartphone. This would mean that the new Galaxy Note would debut nearly a fortnight before its predecessor went live last year.
In related news, a report by Galaxy Club reveals the Galaxy Note 9 to come with a markedly larger 4,000mAh. Apparently, its predecessor, namely the Galaxy Note came with a 3,300mAh battery. The bump in the battery, along with a more power efficient Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor is expected to result in an improved battery life. Moreover, a recent FCC listing reveals that Samsung is working on a new Wireless charger. The charger is codenamed as EP-N6100, and comes with an input rating of 12 Volts and 2.1 amperes. This charger is said to be much faster than the one launched early last year. Therefore, the new charger will result in a shorter charging time for the upcoming Galaxy Note 9.
With that said, the main highlighting point of the Galaxy Note 9 is expected to be its dual rear cameras. The rest of the specifications include a 6GB RAM, 256GB internal storage, Gigabit WiFi and LTE. When launched, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 would be the first phone from the brand to come with Android Oreo 8.1. Besides, Samsung would also debut its Bixby 2.0 with the new flagship phablet.
