It would be entirely disingenuous to say that the character Rose, played by actress Kelly Marie Tran, brought anything to «Star Wars: The Last Jedi» other than head-scratches and yawns. Actress Kelly Marie Tran should hardly be blamed for that. Writer/director Rian Johnson should shoulder the blame for penning such a character, not to mention Disney. But since the internet invites the worst of humanity to expel their tasteless indecency onto complete strangers, Tran fell subject to a vicious campaign of racist mockery from alt-right thugs. As a result, she deleted her Instagram account.
