The truck hit the tollbooth on the southbound side, turnpike officials said in an alert sent out shortly after 10 a.m. It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured in the crash.
Police were on the scene and rescue units were on the way, according to the alert.
The turnpike authority warned drivers to expect major delays.
