Microsoft is testing a new feature for the next version of Windows 10.
Found in Video Playback Settings, the “ Adjust video based on lighting ” option will use the light sensor on your laptop to adjust the brightness and contrast settings on your videos to make them easier to view in very bright settings.
The feature, which is sure to confuse users who are not expecting it, can be turned on and off by navigating to Settings > Apps > Video playback, and toggling “Adjust video based on lighting”.
Windows 10 Insiders can test the feature now by download the new build via Checking for Updates in Settings.
