Activision and Bungie officially release a brand new trailer showcasing some of the fresh weapons and gear coming in the next big Destiny 2 expansion, Forsaken.
It won’t be much longer before Destiny 2‘s next major expansion Forsaken will be available, so Activision and Bungie are ramping up promotions to get current Guardians hyped and bring lapsed players back into the fold. Last week, for instance, the publisher and developer showed off the second campaign mission featuring details about the Barons, and now the companies are focusing on loot by releasing a trailer showcasing new weapons and gear players can collect.
As seen in the latest trailer for Destiny 2‘s Forsaken DLC, some of the weapons on the table are the Two-Tailed Fox, which is a rocket launcher that fires two projectiles at once, while the Trinity Ghoul is a bow that charges up electrical storm arrows following precision kills. Another weapon for Guardians to wield is Malfeasance, a pistol where five consecutive hits on an enemy cause an elemental explosion.
What’s more is that Destiny 2‘s Forsaken will also bring the gun One Thousand Voices, giving Guardians the ability to shoot an explosive fire-based beam. Bungie will also be adding the Wish-Ender, which is a stealth-inspired bow allowing one to see through walls to detect enemies. There’s also the Ace of Spades hand cannon, granting one extra damage upon reloading after a kill, and for melee-based Guardians, the expansion offers a sword that also has projectile blasts called Black Talon.
When it comes to gear, Destiny 2‘s Forsaken contains armor like Antaeus Wards, which reflects projectile attacks while sliding. The Sixth Coyote is driven more towards giving players the edge in a tough firefight by granting the wearer a slick-looking Double Dodge ability. Meanwhile, Chromatic Fire causes elemental explosions to occur from every precision kill Guardians earn with a kinetic weapon.
Without a doubt, there are lots of Guardians who can’t wait to get their hands on each of the aforementioned weapons and gear to give them a test drive, but players will have to wait until Destiny 2‘s Forsaken DLC drops about a couple of months from now. Until then, fans should anticipate Bungie to implement some changes to existing weapons before Forsaken goes live.
Destiny 2‘s Forsaken expansion releases on September 4,2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
