Epic Games’ Fortnite is already celebrating its first birthday, and the developer is rewarding its players with special in-game quests and challenges for both Battle Royale and Save the World modes.
Fortnite rose to an incredible degree of popularity thanks to its battle royale mode, which was originally launched back in September before being spun off into a standalone game. That might have led some to forget that the game was originally launched in early access in July 2017, with a game mode now known as Save The World.
But Epic Games hasn’t forgotten that, and it’s celebrating the one-year anniversary of the game with special quests and challenges for its players, which also give some unique rewards. The celebrations start on July 24 and last until August 7, and the three birthday challenges and respective rewards are:
Completing the three challenges also unlocks an additional bonus, the Birthday Cake Back Bling.
Of course, since it’s the Save The World mode that’s turning one year old, there are naturally some special quests for it as well. Completing the Fortnite Birthday questline will grant players a new Hero, Birthday Brigade Ramirez.
During the birthday celebration, players will also be able to spend tickets on birthday llamas which can unlock Heroes and weapons from every event this year. A special birthday Battle Bus and more will also be available in the game during this period.
