It appears as though Andy Dick’s controversial and sometimes lewd behavior may have finally caught up with him.
The stand-up comic and writer was criminally charged with a misdemeanor sexual battery and a misdemeanor simple battery for allegedly touching a woman inappropriately without her consent.
The woman apparently had no relation to Dick and was described by TMZ as a “complete stranger.” (RELATED: Federal Prosecutors Launch Investigation Into Harvey Weinstein For Disturbing Reason)
“Law enforcement sources tell us a woman filed a police report claiming the troubled comedian squeezed her butt twice as he walked past her on a sidewalk back in April. She also said he made lewd comments,” TMZ reports.
This isn’t Andy Dick’s first run-in with a sexual harassment claim. He was fired for allegedly groping people he worked on set with last year but cast them off as silly.
“I didn’t grope anybody,” he told the Hollywood Reporter last October. “I might have kissed somebody on the cheek to say goodbye and then licked them. That’s my thing — I licked Carrie Fisher at a roast. It’s me being funny. I’m not trying to sexually harass people.”
It’s also worth mentioning that Dick’s wife, Lena Sved, got a restraining order from the comedian last March on the grounds that he threatened Sved and their two children. She also alleges he’s a violent alcoholic and a danger to the family.
