It only need Windows 7 and reasonable hardware
When Monster Hunter World was initially revealed, the developers also mentioned that a PC version is going to be made available at a later date. While the PC community might not be happy that their version is being pushed back, they can’t really be upset because people will eventually be able to play it.
And it’s also true that Capcom is rather PC friendly, with many of their titles landing on the PC. On the other hand, in the Monster Hunter franchise, the latest Monster Hunter World is the first one to make it to the PC. All the others were either PlayStation exclusives or arrived just for consoles.
This is probably the main question right now. The rich and vivid world in Monster Hunter World will take its toll on the hardware, but the good news is that it doesn’t have really high requirements.
A Twitter user named @Yangvase managed to snap a screenshot of the official Tencent’s WeGame store in China, which also happen to list the PC system requirements for a short while until it was taken down.
The minimum system requirements include 8GB of RAM, Intel i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760,25GB of HDD space, and at least Windows 7.
The recommended system requirements are a little bit higher, but not by much. Users will need an Intel i7-3370 CPU @3.40GHZ, 8GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060,25GB of HDD space, and also a Windows 7 as a minimum.
This likely means that it won’t be using DirectX 12, but at least a lot of people will be able to play it. No launch date has been revealed, but it’s likely that Capcom will soon let us know when we’ll be able to play it. You can also check out our Monster Hunter World review for consoles.
