Actor and comedian, Pete Davidson is standing by his pop star fianceé, Ariana Grande.
The 24-year-old Saturday Night Live star took to social media on July 13, Friday, and shared a picture of Grande wearing a gold necklace along with a pendant of his late dad Scott Davidson’s FDNY badge.
The jewel piece that has a special number on it — “8418” — is the badge number worn by the comedian’s late father Scott Davidson, who was a firefighter and lost his life during the terrorist attacks of September 11,2001, in New York City. For those who aren’t aware, this isn’t the very first time when the high-profile couple has honoured Davidson’s late father.
The “God Is a Woman” singer has the same number (8418) got “8418” permanent body art on her left foot while Davidson also has the same number tattoo on his left forearm.

But not everyone was pleased with Grande wearing Davidson’s dad’s necklace as one of the fans commented, “No girl should ever wear your dad’s chain.” The critic wrote, “So disrespectful.”
The Saturday Night Live star quickly came up in the defence of his finaceé and snapped back the critic. He commented, “For ur information that’s not just some girl, that’s my fiancé.” Davidson continued, “She’s the greatest person I know. I gave it to her because she has my heart and that is the most precious thing I own. My dad would be so happy and love her so much.”
Grande also wrote back in a comment, telling the comedian, “I love u more than anything.”
The couple’s surprise engagement news was confirmed by People on July 11 after which Davidson officially confirmed the happy news. The couple recently got engaged after they started dating in May.
Since then, the high-profile couple has been spending their time together in the Big Apple, where the couple recently moved into a Manhattan building, a new apartment the couple live together.
Media has been following the newly engaged couple Grande and Davidson’s every move, catching the couple in the midst of multiple PDAs. Grande and Davidson haven’t been shy when it comes to showing affection for each other in public as the couple has been showing off their whirlwind romance on social media.
