Bang & Olufsen has announced the addition of Google Assistant for its gorgeous BeoSound 1 and BeoSound 2 wireless speakers. Both cone-shaped speakers will soon be available with Google’s personal assistant, making it possible to get the weather, play music, and more using voice commands. The addition is joined by Apple AirPlay 2 and Chromecast support.

B&O originally launched the BeoSound 1 and BeoSound 2 speakers in 2016; the cheaper of the two updated models will be available starting next month with the second arriving in October.
Both speakers are made with an aluminum structure; they feature five microphones for detecting the user’s voice, echo-cancelling technology, and four favorite buttons on the top.
Recurring tasks can be assigned to each button, such as getting the weather, playing a certain radio station, or retrieving a calendar. This, of course, is in addition to the various features offered by Google Assistant. The BeoSound 2 speaker continues to offer 360-degree audio, as well.
Bang & Olufsen will start offering the BeoSound 1 in its stores and select markets in the middle of September; BeoSound 2 availability will start in early October. The BeoSound 1 model is priced at $1,750 USD and the BeoSound 2 is priced at a substantial $2,250 USD.
