Ivanka said during a forum that she was «vehemently against» the POTUS’ immigration policy and believes journalists are not «the enemy of the people.»

Ivanka Trump chose to deviate from her father’s views on two hot-button issues at the Newseum on Thursday, calling her father’s family separation policy a “low point” in her White House career and that she does not see the media as the “enemy of the people.”
During the Axios sponsored talk on workforce development, Ivanka was asked what were the high and low points of working in the White House. She said the zero-tolerance separation controversy was her low point, adding that she was “vehemently against” the policy developed by her father President Donald Trump.
“That was a low point for me,” she said. “I feel very strongly about that, and I am very vehemently against family separation and the separation of parents and children.”
The first daughter continued, saying that immigration is “incredibly complex” as is, but doing so illegally is “incredibly complicated” since the U. S. is “a country of laws.”
“We have to be very careful about incentivizing behavior that puts children at risk of being trafficked, at risk of entering this country with coyotes or making an incredibly dangerous journey alone,“ she said. ”These are not easy issues. These are incredibly difficult issues. And like the rest of the country, I experience them in a very emotional way.”

Ivanka reportedly asked President Trump to discontinue the zero-tolerance policy that separated immigrant families at the U. S.-Mexico border.
Ivanka was also asked near the end of the panel about her father speaking out against the press. She was asked whether she agreed with her father that the media is the “enemy of the people,” which she immediately answered, “No, I do not.”
When the interviewer hinted at her to elaborate, Ivanka said that she has her “own personal perspective” regarding the news media
“I’ve certainly received my fair share of reporting on me personally that I know not to be fully accurate, so I’ve had some sensitivity around why people have concerns and gripes, especially when they sort of feel targeted.
Ivanka’s comments come a few days after CNN’s Jim Acosta recorded Trump supporters swarming the press section at a Make America Great Again rally in Tampa, yelling at Acosta to “stop lying.”
Also at Thursday’s White House press briefing, Acosta attempted to get White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders to say that “the media was not the enemy of the people,” which Sanders refused to do, saying that the president, “has made his feelings clear.”
