The leading chaebol, Samsung has been teasing the launch of the Galaxy A8 Star smartphone in India through Amazon lately. The new smartphone comes in as the global variant of the Galaxy A9 Star, which was launched in China earlier this year. Earlier today, a report suggested that the smartphone could come with a price tag of Rs 34,990. Now, the phonemaker has gone ahead and launched the smartphone silently in the country.
Coming to the specs of the device, the Galaxy A8 Star comes with a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The performance of the smartphone is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset backed by Adreno 512 GPU. As for the imaging, the latest launch comes with a dual camera module on the rear panel featuring a 16-megapixel snapper with PDAF backed by a 24-megapixel secondary camera.
