Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has sent out ‘block your date’ for its upcoming event scheduled to be held on September 6.
The invite shows an image of a fingerprint with a note that reads «Experience the 11 on 6.09.2018». Sources confirmed to Gadgets Now that the company will be unveiling Vivo V11 and Vivo V11 Pro smartphones at the event.
Earlier this week, specifications of V11 — which is successor to the company’s earlier launched V9 swmartphone — allegedly leaked online.
As per the alleged specifications that have surfaced online, the upcoming smartphone sports in-display fingerprint sensor and ‘waterdrop-like’ notch. It is said to measure 157.9x75x7.9mm and weigh 156gm.
The leaked V11 specifications also reveal that the smartphone may have 6.41-inch display with full-HD+ resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is said to be powered by 2.2Ghz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. The smartphone may come with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage as well as microSD card support of up to 256GB.
On the back, there’s reportedly a dual camera set-up with 12-megapixel primary camera and 5-megapixel sensor. The water drop-like notch is said to house a 25-megapixel selfie camera. Other rumoured specs include 3400 mAh battery. The smartphone may run on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.
Recently, there were also reports that Vivo is working on its first-ever smartphone with 10GB RAM. Likely to be called Vivo X23 and may be unveiled next week (August 20).
However, so far there is no official word of X23. The smartphone is said to be the successor of Vivo X21.
