Cape Town — Cape Town City FC have beaten SuperSport United on penalties at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban to win this season’s MTN8 title.

Cape Town City won 4-1 on penalties after the two sides were goalless after 90 minutes as well as after extra-time.
SuperSport United were the defending champions, and the title is Benni McCarthy’s first at the helm of the Cape side.
Cape Town City banked a cool R8 million for their victory.
