Paradox Interactive’s popular city-building title, Cities: Skylines, is now available on the Nintendo Switch. The $39.99 port comes included with the After Dark and Snowfall expansions.
While announcing a slew of new games for the Nintendo Switch during the Direct presentation today, Nintendo also had a surprise game release. Coming as Paradox Interactive’s first foray into a Nintendo console, Cities: Skylines has now been fully released on the hybrid console.
The massively popular city building and management title was originally exclusive to PC, but Xbox One and PlayStation 4 editions rolled out in 2017. The same studio who made those ports happen, Tantalus Media, is the one responsible for the Switch port as well.
The UI has been redesigned to fit on the Switch to provide players with easy access to all their city building needs, and the game also comes with support for the Pro Controller.
In a press release, Paradox Interactive product manager Sandra Neudinger said the following regarding the game’s arrival to the new platform:
In addition to the base game, the Switch edition also comes with two DLC packs for free. These are the After Dark and Snowfall expansions, where the former introduces a day-night cycle and nightlife focused content, while the latter, as its name implies, is all about taking care of cities challenged by weather.
Cities: Skylines Nintendo Switch Edition is now available for purchase with a $39.99 price tag .
