Motorola has recently announced its G6 series and it seems like the Lenovo-owned company has already started working on the G7 lineup. Earlier, the leaked images of the alleged Motorola smartphone surfaced online along with one other unknown smartphone. The leaked images revealed that the device comes with a waterdrop notch. In the latest development, a graphic designer by the name Waqar Khan has made the use of those pictures to mock up some renders, trying to conclude what Moto G7 could look like.
As per the Moto G7 renders, there are minimal bezels on the sides of the device along with a sizeable chin. The top houses a waterdrop notch containing selfie camera, with the earpiece just above it.

At the rear, the design is heavily inspired by the G6 series. There’s a horizontally-curved rear panel, which is expected to be made of glass. The smartphone also gets a circular protruding module for the dual-camera system along with the two-tone LED flash. Right below the dual-camera setup, there is Motorola’s signature ‘Batwing’ logo, which could double up as a fingerprint scanner. The graphic designer has also come up with a video revealing some other important aspects including the hybrid SIM/microSD card tray on the top and color options that could be offered by the smartphone maker.
The Motorola G6 Plus will be arriving in India tomorrow. The Moto G6 Plus features a 5.93-inch IPS LCD Max Vision display with 1080 x 2160 Full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 14nm octa-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz, combined with an Adreno 508 GPU. The Moto G6 Plus is a decent upgrade over the Moto G6 in terms of performance. For storing apps and data, the India variant of the Moto G6 Plus will offer 6GB of RAM, coupled with 64GB of onboard storage. You can also expand the memory further up to 256GB as the Moto G6 Plus comes with a dedicated microSD card slot.
In the imaging department, the Moto G6 Plus comes with an impressive 12MP + 5MP dual-camera setup with Dual Pixel phase-detection autofocus. The primary 12MP sensor is paired with a f/1.7 aperture that takes care of the low-light shots. The secondary 5MP depth-sensing camera is coupled with a f/2.2 aperture. One major highlight that differentiates the Moto G6 Plus and the Moto G6 is the support for 4K Ultra HD video recording. On the front, the Indian variant of the Moto G6 Plus will feature a 16MP shooter, similar to the Moto G6.
The connectivity options that tag along with the device include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, NFC, FM radio, USB Type-C port, and 4G VoLTE. The Moto G6 Plus also comes with a front-mounted fingerprint sensor, Dolby Audio support, splash resistance. The device is fuelled by a 3200mAh capacity non-removable battery. On the software front, the Moto G6 Plus runs on the Android 8.0 Oreo OS for now but is confirmed to receive the Android 9.0 Pie update soon. The device measures 160 x 75.5 x 8mm and weighs in at 167 grams.

Motorola announced the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant of the Moto G6 in India at a starting price of Rs.13,999 for. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model of the smartphone was priced at Rs.15,999. Since the Moto G6 Plus is an upgrade over these two variants, we can expect the Moto G6 Plus to come with a price tag that reads around Rs.17,000 in India.
