To recall, the 4G-enabled feature phone was launched by Mukesh Ambani led Reliance Jio at the company’s 41st annual general meeting (AGM).
The device comes with a price tag of Rs 2,999 and supports Reliance Jio SIM card only. The telecom firm is offering three major plans for customers to choose from. This includes Rs 49, Rs 99 and Rs 153 recharge plans. All three plans are valid for 28 days.

Jio Phone.
The feature phone like its predecessor runs KaiOS and offers support for WhatsApp, YouTube, Facebook and Google Maps. Key highlight of the JioPhone 2 is the QWERTY keypad and the horizontal screen viewing experience. Both JioPhone and JioPhone 2 offer support for 24 Indian languages, voice commands and dedicated voice assistant button.
The device features a 2.4-inch QWGA display and offer dual nano SIM support. The feature phone comes with same 2,000 mAh battery and 4G VoLTE support. It offers 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage, expandable up to 128GB in both the versions. The JioPhone 2 offers FM, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NPS and GPS support like the older JioPhone.
In term of camera capabilities, the Jio Phone 2 sports a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front camera. In this department also both the feature phones offer same quality.
