“The Galaxy A9 Star Pro is expected to be world’s first smartphone with a quad-camera setup on the back”
Now that we have seen innovations like slide-out cameras and under-display fingerprint scanners, it seems that now the brands are working on the next big thing. And that appears to be in the camera department. While there are already talks of Nokia launching its flagship – the Nokia 9 with five cameras, Samsung is rumoured to be working on a quad-camera toting smartphone. Widely expected to be dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Pro, the smartphone is speculated to come with a set of four cameras on the rear panel.
According to a recent tweet by SamsungMobileNews, the upcoming smartphone will have a quad-camera module on the back with LED flash. Contrary to popular belief that the sensors will be arranged in a cluster, the tweet hints that the cameras will be aligned vertically in a row in the top-left corner. Furthermore, the upcoming smartphone is said to bear the model number SM-A920. The leak further suggests that there will be a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel, which will be curved. Other details include the presence of a dedicated Bixby button and 3.5mm audio socket.
Notably, Samsung has recently sent out invites for an October 11th event. The teaser image shared by the brand read “4x Fun”, which might be referring to quad-camera configuration itself. If we put two and two together, it’s likely that the brand might launch the Galaxy A9 Star Pro on the said event. According to the previous rumours, the handset is expected to come powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset. Unfortunately, nothing else is known about the forthcoming smartphone at the moment.
