«So you’re saying in all these years you are in question you were a virgin?»

In an interview with Fox News that aired Monday night, Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh detail his personal life in high school to defend the allegation made against him that he sexually assaulted Christine Blasey Ford 36 years ago.
“I think all of us have probably done things we look back on in high school and regret or cringe a bit, but that’s not what we’re talking about,” said Kavanaugh. “We’re talking about an allegation of sexual assault. I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone.”
“I did not have sexual intercourse or anything close to sexual intercourse in high school or for many years thereafter,” Kavanaugh said.
“So you’re saying in all these years you are in question you were a virgin?” Fox News’ Martha MacCallum asked.
“That’s correct,” Kavanaugh responded.

But the allegations against Kavanaugh do not describe sexual intercourse.
In a letter to Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), Ford describes Kavanaugh and his friend, Mark Judge, pushing her and locking her in a bedroom. She claims Kavanaugh pinned her down, covered her mouth with his hand, and attempted to remove her clothes.
«Kavanaugh was on top of me while laughing with Judge, who periodically jumped onto Kavanaugh. They both laughed as Kavanaugh tried to disrobe me in their highly inebriated state.
With Kavanaugh’s hand over my mouth, I feared he may inadvertently kill me.»
But Ford says she got away. Ford describes an instance of sexual assault, not rape. Her allegations have nothing to do with whether or not Kavanaugh was a virgin at the time.
The second allegation against Kavanaugh comes from a women who said he inappropriately flashed her. Deborah Ramirez told the New Yorker that in their freshman year at Yale, Kavanaugh thrust his penis in her face, forcing her to touch it to get away.
“I can still see his face, and his hips coming forward, like when you pull up your pants,” she said.
Again, this allegation has nothing to do with Kavanaugh’s virginity or other sexual activity at the time.
Kavanaugh starkly denies all allegations made against him. He and Ford are set to testify in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday.
