PORT ST. LUCIE — A 21-year-old woman died after a Sunday morning crash on Southwest Port St. Lucie Boulevard east of Florida’s Turnpike, a police spokesman said Monday.
Cameron Taylor Sloan, of Port St. Lucie, died after the crash, which happened about 2 a.m. in the 200 block of Southwest Port St. Lucie Boulevard, said Master Sgt. Frank Sabol, police spokesman.

Sabol said Sloan was driving a 1999 Toyota Camry west on Southwest Port St. Lucie Boulevard when she lost control.
Sabol said the vehicle left the roadway, and it appears Sloan was unable to regain control. He said the vehicle went airborne and rolled over into a concrete utility pole in the parking lot of a plaza.

Sabol said when police and rescue officials arrived, Sloan was pronounced dead. P
olice continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
