The mission in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Dagger To The Heart is one of the hardest missions in the game, but not for the difficulty… for the choice you have to make. What happens?
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has plenty of hard choices, from whether to choose Kassandra or Alexios to deciding the fate of a family stricken with blood fever. Perhaps the hardest choice in the game comes in the mission “Dagger to the Heart.” But what is the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Dagger to the Heart mission, and what is the terrible choice you have to make? Does it make any difference? Let’s have a look.
Dagger to the Heart is a side-mission found in the Abantis Islands, in the Dirfi Foothills region. Upon arriving you’ll spot a quest-giver, a slave named Agapios, arguing with someone in the docks. He sends you out on several other quests to investigate the crime ring called the Dagger. The nearest quest is Dagger in the Heart. Head to the starting location in the local theater.
The couple there have been threatened by a member of the Dagger gang. They ask you to deal with him. He lives in a nearby house, head there and dispatch him however you feel. You can try to reason with him if you like, but you probably won’t succeed. Afterwards head back to the theater, where more members of the gang are holding the two theater owners hostage. Their leader gives you a choice…
The gang asks you to choose which of the couple will live: Idyia or Prexileos. Whichever one you choose, the other will die. There is a third choice that sounds the most heroic: “die, Dagger filth!” Unfortunately trying to do the right thing in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey often doesn’t end up that way, since they immediately kill both Idyia and Prexileos. This is the worst option, and leaves you with a lot of crying children to deal with.
While there are no real ramications to any of these choices, there is also no way to save both Idyia and Prexileos. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. You’ll just have to be satisfied with hunting down and destroying the entire Dagger gang.
