Florian Le Bihan, the game designer from Battlefield 5 is banned from Black Ops 4. He took to social media to share his ban from the PC version of Black Ops 4. At this point, it is unclear why he was banned from Black Ops 4.
But one has to keep in mind that multiplayer games like COD and BF have tracking algorithms designed to regulate and prevent cheaters from ruining the gameplay experience for everyone else. How companies do this varies, but the most common and straight-forward practice is in fact via player feedback.
Black Ops 4 is an upcoming first-person shooter from Treyarch and Activision, following a long line of Call of Duty games, Black Ops 4 is the latest installment which has emphasized it’s gameplay solely on the multiplayer aspect of the game. Battlefield, on the other hand, is a larger-scaled shooter game, designed to simulate an ongoing war-like battle. Their recent Battlefield 1 is based in the world war era while Battlefield V is going to World War 2.
The two franchises have been rivals for years with the gaming population being divided between these two giants. Recently, however, the beef may have gotten real official, or did it?
He shared some gameplay videos of him playing Black Ops 4 and it is clear how good he is. It seems someone reported him, thinking he is a cheater, and got him banned.
The anti-cheat/reporting system can often become overwhelmed with reports against one account. If that becomes the case often innocent players get banned from games like Black Ops 4, Overwatch, etc.
It is an honor to be called a hacker when you are not; people think you are due to your exceptional skills.
This seems to be a mistake on Treyarch’s part due to not properly studying Florian’s profile and simply banning it on the basis of many reports.
