The upcoming multiplayer Fallout venture of Bethesda is soon having its PC beta kick off. Today, the studio pushed out the Fallout 76 official PC system requirements to get players ready.
Sticking to the previously announced schedule by Bethesda, Xbox One owners have already gotten access to the Fallout 76 beta but PC and PlayStation 4 players still have to wait until October 30 for their turn. Today, the company updated its FAQ with the official PC system requirements so prospective players can size up their hardware against them.
Here are the minimum and recommended requirements for the open-world multiplayer title:
For comparison’s sake, Fallout 4 from 2015 asked for at least an i5-2300 at 2.8GHz or a Phenom II X4 945 at 3.0 GHz, while the graphics card had to be a GTX 550 Ti 2GB or a Radeon HD 7870 2GB minimum.
As Bethesda considers the closed beta primarily a stress test, players will have the full game at their disposal when servers are up and running. However, these servers will not be active continuously, with the company saying that «On any given day the game might be up for anywhere between four to eight hours. Focusing as many players as we can into these windows is our prime objective.»
Access to the beta run is only given to those who pre-order the game and just like the full release, the PC version is exclusively available through the Bethesda.net Launcher.
Fallout 76 will be launching in full on November 14 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
