Rumours say that the Pixel Mini will be called Bonito and come with Snapdragon 710 chipset.
Yes, that’s right. Google just confirmed to launch Pixel Mini alongside Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL on October 9. Google talked about the coming of Pixel Mini via its madebygoogle instagram account. The company said that they have more to reveal about the Pixel Mini on October 9, the same day when the company will be launching its third-generation Pixel phones aka the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL. In the Instagram post, Google is asking consumers on how small or «mini» do they think will be the Pixel Mini?. How «mini» is too mini? Google asks.
So far we have come across rumours about Google working on Pixel Ultra, which is said to be a bigger version of the Pixel 3 XL. But as India Today Tech reported earlier, the Pixel Ultra rumours are too good to be true. At least for now. Shutting all the Pixel Ultra rumours, Google on Wednesday confirmed that it’s infact working on a mini version of Pixel.

In the Instagram post, Google also posts a picture showing four phones of different sizes. It hints that the Pixel Mini will be a tiny phone, but will be slightly bigger than the smallest phone displayed in the photo (see the phone below).

As of now, there’s nothing that’s confirmed about the Pixel Mini. We are also not sure if Google will launch a separate Pixel Mini phone or just a smaller version of the Pixel 3. But the Instagram post has revealed that the Pixel Mini will be coming on October 9. Which means this year, Google will launch three Pixel phones this year instead of the regular two. The most expensive of the three will be the Pixel 3 XL, followed by the slightly cheaper Pixel, and then comes the Pixel Mini or the Pixel 3 Mini.
To recall, earlier this year rumours did hint that Google could be preparing three devices instead of two for 2018. The rumours also did hint that one of them could be a mid-range Pixel phone with Snapdragon 710 which is already seen running a lot of mid-range Android phones from other smartphone companies. Tipster Roland Quandt also took to Twitter to talk about the Snapdragon 710 Pixel phone and said that it is apparently called «Bonito». Quandt also said that «Someone has been testing Google ‘Bonito’ with GFXBench lately» but he didn’t reveal the name of the phone. But now that Google has confirmed the coming of Pixel Mini, we expect the Snapdragon 710 Pixel or Bonito to actually be the Pixel Mini.
