Here are all the TV shows, movies and Netflix Originals coming to Netflix in November 2018 and what you should watch.

It’s kind of crazy to think that in just a week, Halloween will come and go and we’ll be plunging into November. Spring wanes and winter waxes, and before we know it Thanksgiving will be here, and Black Friday and all the chaos of the holidays.
November means another slew of new movies, TV shows and Netflix Originals coming to the streaming service. Netflix has a bunch of new content in store, and we’ll take a look at some highlights before moving on to the big list.
For sci-fans, three very different but very good and interesting movies all land on the 1st of the month and they all start with the letter «C» which is good enough for me. Alfonso Cuarón’s Children of Men, starring Clive Owen, remains one of my favorite modern dystopian films, about a dark future where people can no longer have babies. It’s quite dark and intense but really worth watching.
The classic Steven Spielberg film Close Encounters of the Third Kind also lands on the 1st. The Richard Dreyfuss led movie is one of the most thought-provoking alien dramas out there. Definitely watch it when it comes to Netflix.

And finally we have Cloverfield, which I didn’t like as much as Cloverfield Lane, but which is still a very clever film. It tells the story of an alien invasion not through traditional film, but through footage from peoples’ phones (which was quite novel at the time.)
Netflix Original mega-hit House of Cards returns sans Kevin Spacey for its final season in November. I’ve long ago given up watching that show, but if you’re still tuning in it should be interesting to see how they make it work without its male lead. Season 6, starring Robin Wright, lands on Netflix on the 2nd.
I’m much more excited about The Last Kingdom season 3, which hits Netflix on the 19th of November. Especially as History’s Vikings declines, The Last Kingdom fills that void. It’s a terrific show about the viking invasion of England and the way the two groups not only make war, but learn to live together.
Speaking of historical dramas, on the 9th we get the Netflix Original Film The Outlaw King. It’s the story of Robert the Bruce after he was made an outlaw. So that’s basically the long-awaited sequel to Braveheart which remains, as far as I’m concerned, one of the greatest movies of all time. We’ll see if Chris Pine can pull off the Scottish king.
Narcos: Mexico rolls out on the 16th and takes the story of drug cartels from the violent streets of Colombia to the violent streets of Mexico. We saw this coming last season, and it should be interesting to see this story get a bit closer to home. I’m still enjoying Narcos, though it’s never been quite as good as it was when it was still about Pablo Escobar.

For kids we have Netflix’s reboot of She-Ra, titled She-Ra And The Princesses Of Power. Boy that takes me back to my own childhood when He-Man was a big deal. I look forward to seeing how this reboot turns out, as She-Ra herself looks quite different in this iteration.
