A political analyst for Fox News says she reported the Florida mail bomb suspect to Twitter just two weeks ago after he threatened her life in a tweet — and they “didn’t find it that serious.”
“Hey @Twitter remember when I reported the guy who was making threats towards me after my [television] appearance,” tweeted Rochelle Ritchie, former press secretary for the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee.
“Well guess what it’s the guy who has been sending #bombs to high profile politicians!!!!” she wrote Friday.
Cesar Sayoc, 56, set his sights on Ritchie following an appearance on Fox.
“So you like to make threats. Unconquered Seminole Tribe will answer your threats,” he tweeted on Oct. 11. “We have nice silent Air boat ride for u here on our land Everglades Swamp. We will see you 4 sure. Hug your loved ones real close every time you leave you home.”
In response, Ritchie said: “Threatening my life… bad idea.”
The political pundit tweeted out screenshots on Friday, showing both the messages and Twitter’s response to her report, which read: “There was no violation of the Twitter Rules against abusive behavior.”
She called out the social media giant for suspending Sayok’s account only after he was caught and fingered for the bomb scare — and not when she raised the red flag about his behavior.
“Oh so now you want to suspend his account @Twitter!!!” Ritchie said, noting how the social media giant initially “sent back a bs response” about how they “didn’t find it that serious.”
Twitter refused to comment on the report when reached by media outlets on Friday.
“This is an ongoing law enforcement investigation,” a spokesperson said.
