Samantha Markle took exception to Meghan Markle’s remarks about how she paid for her education at Northwestern University, where she majored in theater and international studies.
Meghan Markle likely won’t welcome her estranged family members back into her life anytime soon.
Meghan’s sister, Samantha Markle, who recently attempted to make amends with the Duchess of Sussex, slammed her publicly yet again, this time for a speech Meghan gave to college students in Fiji.
“As a university graduate, I know the personal feeling of pride and excitement that comes with attending university,” Meghan told the crowd earlier this week. “From the moment you receive your acceptance letter, to the exams you spend countless late nights studying for, the lifelong friendships you make with your fellow alumni, and the moment you receive your diploma. The journey of higher education is an incredible, impactful and pivotal one.”
“I am also fully aware of the challenges of being able to afford this level of schooling for many people around the world — myself included,” she continued. “It was through scholarships, financial aid programs and work-study where my earnings from a job on campus went directly towards my tuition that I was able to attend university. And, without question, it was worth every effort.”
Samantha, 53, took exception to Meghan’s remarks about how she paid for her education at Northwestern University, where she majored in theater and international studies.
“Our father paid for all of her education! This speech is not true,” a furious Samantha tweeted Wednesday.
“Stop the enabling! Do not ever reward a lie it does not matter how fluffy it is! It is wrong and there is no force on the planet that will take this away from my father,” she wrote . “She should inspire women with the truth and with gratitude! Roll [sic] model thankfullness [sic] and truth, not lies.”
Samantha has been a ferocious critic of Meghan, 37, and a fierce advocate for father Thomas Markle, whom Meghan hasn’t spoken to since he failed to show up at her royal wedding in May, citing a heart attack .
Meghan reportedly requested that Thomas, 74, stop speaking to Samantha about her.
Thomas also previously said that since his first press rounds, Meghan’s phone number has been changed and he no longer knows how to contact her.
In July, Samantha confessed to selling stories about Meghan to the press, though she recently publicly apologized to the former “Suits” actress for her behavior.
Samantha and Thomas have also tried to mend fences in light of the news that Meghan is pregnant with her and Harry’s first child .
