Vodafone is back with yet another cheap prepaid plan bearing a long-term validity. Earlier, the telecom operator launched a prepaid recharge plan with 84-days validity and now it has come up with a new prepaid tariff plan with a validity of 56-days. The plan is priced at Rs. 189 and offers 2GB data and voice calling benefits. The plan does not include any SMS benefits. Let’s take a look at the details of the new plan from Vodafone.
Aimed at voice calling users, the Vodafone Rs. 189 Recharge Plan offers limited data but unlimited voice calls. With the prepaid recharge plan, you get unlimited voice calls which are capped at 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week. Also, note that you get to make voice calls to only 100 unique numbers during the entire validity period with this plan. As for the data, the plan offers 2GB data for the entire validity period. The major highlight of the Vodafone plan is its validity. At just Rs. 189, you get to have all the above benefits for 56 days. No other telecom operator is offering a long-term validity at such a low price. One more thing to note here is that Rs. 189 prepaid recharge of Vodafone can be availed via Balance Deduction Mode only.
Note that the plan does not offer any SMS benefits, which is understandable. However, once you hit the daily voice calling limit, you will be charged one paise per second. Luckily, the voice calling benefits is applicable across the country. Vodafone has rolled out several cost-effective plans in a couple of months. Earlier, it launched a prepaid recharge plan under Rs. 300 with a validity of 84 days. And now, this latest plan under Rs. 200 is offering a validity of nearly 2 months. The other telecom operators like Airtel, Idea, Jio have long-validity plans but they are all above Rs. 200.
In comparison to the recently launched Vodafone plan, Reliance Jio is offering a prepaid recharge plan worth Rs. 198. Airtel also has a similar recharge plan with slightly different benefits. The Jio Plan is aimed at heavy data users and is offering a total of 56GB of 4G data with a daily limit of 2GB per day. The plan also offers unlimited voice calls without any FUP constraints along with 100 SMS per day. However, the plan is only valid for 28 days, which is half the validity of Vodafone’s Rs. 189 Plan. So, for long-term benefits, the Vodafone plan is better. And in terms of data, Reliance Jio has a better recharge plan. The Mukesh Ambani-owned telecom operator has offered better data benefits compared to other telecom operators. However, Vodafone and Airtel have recently launched a number of great prepaid recharge plans aimed at heavy data users. With Rs. 189 recharge plan, Vodafone has rolled out the cheapest plan with a heavy validation period.
