Fire authorities said it appears the car was traveling at a high rate of speed before the crash.
The driver of a car died Monday night, Nov. 12, after crashing into a pole in Fullerton, firefighters said.
Just before 10 p.m. firefighters were called to a crash involving one vehicle, Fullerton/Brea Fire Batallion Chief Mike Meacham said, and found a heavily mangled vehicle wrapped around a pole at Gilbert Street and Open Sky Drive.
No other car was involved in the crash.
Though the crash was still being investigated, the car may have been traveling at a high rate of speed, Meacham said.
