Epic Games confirms that the Fortnite account merging feature, which would allow players to combine all their purchases and stats into one account, has been delayed.
When Fortnite was released on the Nintendo Switch earlier this year, many players voiced their frustration that their accounts were blocked on the platform. If their Epic Games account was already associated with the PS4 version of the game, they wouldn’t be able to use that account on Nintendo Switch. The issue was fixed but Epic vowed to make account merging a reality too.
Account merging is a feature that would allow Fortnite players to merge all of their secondary accounts into one. This would allow players to have their Fortnite purchases and stats associated with just one account. However, while Epic had been intending to get the feature ready for a November 2018 launch, the studio has now confirmed that account merging has been delayed.
