“OxygenOS 9.0.4 also improves the battery performance on OnePlus 6T and adds studio lighting in portrait mode”
OnePlus 6T was launched just two days back and while users are gearing up for the device, OxygenOS (OnePlus’ custom Android skin) has already stated receiving updates. Rolling out as an over-the-air (OTA) update, OxygenOS 9.0.4 tweaks certain camera features and improves general system performance. In the camera department, it includes the Studio Lighting effect when taking portrait shots and adds subtle touches to the Nightscape mode used for low-light photography. Other additions include a new set of navigation gestures, improvement to standby power consumption, which will invariably lead to longer battery-life and improved screen unlock. We don’t know what this does to the in-display fingerprint sensor, but it might have something to do with shortening the unlock time by a few milliseconds or further improving the accuracy.
The update also includes the Android security patch for November and a few minor bug fixes and general improvements to OxygenOS. Of course most pre-order costumers won’t be having the OnePlus 6T currently, considering it started rolling out just yesterday. But as and when you do, the update will serve as a welcome addition as it improve the overall smartphone experience. Interested buyers can purchase the latest OnePlus flagship from the Amazon.in and offline retail chains in addition to the company website for a starting price of Rs 37,999. The two higher variants are priced at Rs 41,999 and Rs 45,999 respectively. Plus, Amazon is providing various cashback incentives including bank offers and complementary goodies with every purchase of OnePlus 6T.
OnePlus 6T is powered by an octa-core 2.8 GHz Snapdragon 845 accompanied by an Adreno 630 GPU. Three RAM and storage variants are being offered including 6GB+128GB, 6GB+256GB and 8GB+256GB. All the models ship with Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box with Oxygen OS loaded on top and are available in Mirror Black and Midnight Black colour options.
